In a major step towards digital convenience, authorities have announced that traffic e-challans will now be delivered directly to citizens via WhatsApp. This new system replaces the old practice of sending challans through email, making the process faster, more accessible, and user-friendly.
From now on, citizens will receive their traffic fine details, along with proof images, directly on their registered WhatsApp numbers. The initiative has been rolled out by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) to improve efficiency in traffic management and fine recovery.
Previously, challans were mostly sent via email, which often caused delays and inconvenience for motorists. With WhatsApp integration, the process becomes immediate and transparent.

This digital upgrade is expected to make traffic management in Pakistan more transparent and citizen-friendly. Instead of waiting for an email or visiting traffic offices, people can now check, verify, and pay their fines instantly from their mobile phones.
Officials believe this step will not only increase challan recovery rates but also encourage safe driving practices, as citizens will be more cautious knowing violations are monitored and reported instantly.
