The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially released the CSS 2026 examination schedule, offering a clear roadmap for thousands of aspirants preparing for one of Pakistan’s most competitive civil service exams.
The exam will be held in two phases:

- Written CSS Examination
- Public Notice Release: August 10, 2025 (Sunday)
- Application Window: August 11 to August 25, 2025
- MPT Test Date: November 9, 2025 (Sunday)
Only those who qualify in the MPT will be eligible to apply for the written CSS examination.
- Public Notice for Written Exam: December 14, 2025 (Sunday)
- Application Submission: December 15 to December 30, 2025
- Exam Start Date: February 4, 2026 (Wednesday)
FPSC has clarified that this schedule is provisional and may be revised if necessary. Candidates are advised to stay updated via the official FPSC website.

A major update for aspiring candidates is the implementation of new age and attempt policies from 2026 onwards. As per the resolution passed by the National Assembly, the maximum age limit has been extended from 30 to 35 years, and the number of attempts has also been increased, making the exam more accessible.
The CSS exam is a gateway to prestigious positions in Pakistan’s federal bureaucracy—such as Foreign Service, Customs, Police, Inland Revenue, and Administration—offering both power and responsibility. With thousands of aspirants vying for limited slots, the process demands focused preparation and early planning.
This early release of the CSS 2026 schedule gives candidates ample time to plan, prepare, and align their strategies. With broader eligibility criteria now in place, more Pakistanis than ever can dream of serving the nation through the civil service.
