Cricket fans across the globe, get ready for one of the most electrifying tournaments of the year—Asia Cup 2025, officially scheduled to take place from September 9 to 28, 2025, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), this T20 format competition will serve as a vital opening to the T20 World Cup 2026, bringing together eight Asian teams including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman, and UAE. The final of tournament will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Although India is the official host, the matches will be played in the UAE due to a mutual agreement between India and Pakistan to only compete on neutral venues until 2027. The 17th edition of the Asia Cup will follow the T20 International (T20I) format, making it a perfect tune-up for teams preparing for next year’s world event.

On July 26, 2025, ACC and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi officially confirmed the tournament schedule via a post on X (formerly Twitter):
“The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9 to 28. We look forward to a spectacular display of cricket.”
The UAE was chosen as the venue due to its neutral stance in political tensions between India and Pakistan, a move that ensures player safety and uninterrupted cricketing action.
