Punjab Internship Program 2025: Earn Up to Rs. 60,000 Monthly Stipend

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced the launch of the province’s first-ever veterinary internship program, opening career opportunities for 1,000 veterinary graduates and para-veterinarians across all 36 districts.

A Rs. 600 Million Internship Program Youth Empowerment

The Punjab government has allocated Rs. 600 million for this program, designed to support young professionals while strengthening the province’s livestock and dairy sector.

  • DVM graduates (recognized by HEC): Rs. 60,000 monthly stipend
  • Livestock Assistants & Paravets (LAD diploma holders): Rs. 40,000 monthly stipend

Applications can be submitted online through the official Punjab jobs portal: www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk.

Who Can Apply?

  • Veterinary graduates with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree approved by HEC
  • Candidates holding a two-year Livestock Assistant Diploma (LAD)
  • Special quotas have been allocated for Veterinary Assistants, AI Technicians, and Lab Assistants

This ensures equal participation and fair opportunities across Punjab’s rural and urban districts.

Hands-On Training & Farmer Support

Maryam Nawaz stated that the program aims to provide field-based training to graduates while ensuring farmers receive animal treatment and consultation services at their doorstep.

“The purpose of this initiative is to promote livestock, strengthen the dairy sector, and build skilled manpower. Improved milk and meat production will also help boost Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves,” she emphasized.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Punjab has immense potential in livestock and dairy development. By empowering youth with practical training and financial support, the province aims to:

  • Modernize animal healthcare
  • Increase milk and meat production
  • Strengthen foreign exchange earnings
  • Make Punjab a hub for dairy and livestock development
