The internet’s biggest YouTuber, MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), turned his latest livestream into a mix of comedy and charity when he joined streamers Adin Ross and xQc on a Kick broadcast to raise funds for TeamWater, an initiative aimed at providing clean water worldwide.
The trio vowed to stay live until they hit their $5 million donation goal. As of the latest update, donations had already crossed $3 million, with the energy — and humor — flowing non-stop.
In a moment that quickly caught the attention of fans, Ross casually placed his hand on MrBeast’s shoulder during the August 14 broadcast. MrBeast immediately responded in a lighthearted but firm tone, asking, “What is with you, and touching me?” The room erupted in laughter as Ross jokingly tried to change the subject.
Moments later, MrBeast playfully reinforced his stance: “You take your hands, and keep ’em away from me.” Ross agreed but cheekily asked if touching xQc was still allowed — which earned him a handshake from the Canadian streamer.
MrBeast, Adin Ross, and xQc are now attempting to beat the world record for the most money raised for charity in one stream ($11.7M) after hitting $8M in less than 12 hours 👀🔥 pic.twitter.com/jMfr1KPhWV

The charity push gained an even bigger boost earlier this week when Ken Griffin, billionaire CEO of Citadel, answered MrBeast’s on-air challenge from NBC’s TODAY show. Griffin donated a massive $2.25 million, instantly placing him at the top of the donor leaderboard.
MrBeast shared his gratitude in a follow-up video, thanking TODAY for the opportunity to call out Griffin and praising viewers for their support.
Co-created with fellow YouTuber and former NASA engineer Mark Rober, TeamWater is working to raise $40 million by August 31. Every $1 donated provides one person with access to clean water for a year through WaterAid, a nonprofit focused on sustainable water solutions.
The campaign follows previous high-impact collaborations like #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas, which funded large-scale tree planting and ocean clean-up efforts. Major contributors to TeamWater so far include Google, YouTube, TikTok, and gaming creator CrateRoyaleCR.
Beyond the laughs and viral moments, MrBeast says these livestreams are about using his massive platform for good:
“I don’t have to do this stuff, but I want to use our reach to positively impact people’s lives,” he told Variety.
With big personalities, big donors, and a mission that changes lives, TeamWater’s Kick livestream is proving that internet entertainment can also be a force for global good.
