Pakistan Armed Forces Mark 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal and Tributes to Quaid-e-Azam

Quaid-e-Azam’s Message of Faith, Unity, Discipline in Spotlight

On Pakistan Independance Day 2025, armed forces celebrated the nation’s 78th Independence Day with traditional enthusiasm, paying heartfelt tribute to the country’s founding fathers and reaffirming their commitment to a united and progressive Pakistan.

The day began with special messages from Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu. In their joint message, conveyed through the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military leadership extended warm felicitations to the nation, recalling the sacrifices made under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

“The unbreakable bond between the Armed Forces and the people is the cornerstone of our collective strength. On this Independence Day, let us renew our resolve to uphold the ideals of Faith, Unity, and Discipline,” the ISPR statement read.

National Celebrations and Ceremonial Events

A Change of Guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, where cadets from the Pakistan Naval Academy took over ceremonial guard duties. The Pakistan Navy’s contingent included both sailors and academy cadets, led by Lieutenant Ali Hassan and Chief Cadet Captain Muhammad Zain.

Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Tassawar Iqbal, who served as chief guest, laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum, offered Fateha, and penned his remarks in the visitors’ book. The guards also presented a national salute to the Father of the Nation.

Independence day

In Islamabad, the Pakistan Air Force’s annual flypast, showcasing fighter jets, was scheduled for 1:30 PM, adding to the patriotic atmosphere.

Honoring Quaid’s Vision

The armed forces echoed Quaid-e-Azam’s timeless message of “Faith, Unity, and Discipline”, urging Pakistanis to work collectively towards a resilient and prosperous nation. The leadership emphasized that the sacrifices of 1947 should serve as a guiding light for generations to come.
